For nearly 30 years, the Christmas Tree Festival has been delighting us with displays of trees beautifully decorated by local community groups, schools, families and individuals. Every year has a new theme and the 2025 theme is: Animals and Birds of Christmas.

FESTIVE FERRIS WHEEL
To celebrate the first week of the Christmas Lights Festival you can ride the Ferris Wheel in East Terrace. Take in the unique and spectacular views of the Murray River and surrounds by day, or enjoy the magic of Loxton’s Christmas Lights by night. Weather permitting.

COMMUNITY CAROLS
Gather the whole family together for Loxton’s very own Carols by Candlelight! The combined Churches of Loxton invites the community to come together at the Loxton North Oval in the midst of Christmas Wonderland. Join us in singing your favourite Christmas Carols as the sun sets and watch the magic of the Christmas Wonderland lights begin to sparkle. BYO chairs and rugs, or even a picnic dinner!

LITTLE TOWN JUNIOR
Little Town Junior: Nativity 1.0 Musical Production 2025 is a 45-minute musical re-imagining the nativity story through the eyes of the characters in the Gospels. The characters are brought to life in the original script and songs written by local playwright John Gladigau and musician Karyn Skewes. The cast comprises of children aged 8-18 from all over the Riverland.
Tickets available for purchase via the website or from Music Alive, Loxton from December 1st 2025.
JOURNEY TO BETHLEHEM
Running concurrently with the performance is a new Little Town family experience called Journey to Bethlehem. Children and families will be immersed in the Bethlehem experience stamping a passport as they complete each activity on their journey through the story.
Cost: Free with the purchase of a “Little Town Junior – Nativity 1.0” ticket or $5 per child without a ticket.

CHRISTMAS WONDERLAND MARKETS
Christmas Wonderland will be having a special Night Market to help celebrate their 40th YEAR on Saturday 20th December 2025 from 7pm.
With twinkling lights, toe-tapping tunes and a merry Christmas buzz, join them in celebrating this very special milestone!
Delicious food, markets and entertainment – plenty of festive fun for the whole community.

Shops open ALL DAY on Light Up Day, Saturday 29th November from 9am to 8:30pm!
Shops will also be open for a Special Sunday trading day on 21st December 2025 from 10am – 2pm!
CHRISTMAS NOSTALGIA
A colourful, historic display of all things Christmas from goose feather and novel trees to unique decorations and toys. Re-live traditions and special Christmas customs over many decades through this treasured private collection.
